Koi fish are a domesticated variety of common carp that are known for their bright colors and patterns. They have a long, slender body that can grow up to 3ft in length and weigh up to 35 lbs. They are typically found in shades of orange, white, black, red, yellow, and blue. They have a hardy and resilient nature, and can survive in a wide range of environments and water conditions.
Koi are typically kept in outdoor ponds and can be found in many countries around the world. They are popular among fish enthusiasts and are often kept for their beauty and as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
Koi can be bred and grown through a variety of methods, including in captivity, hatcheries, and through selective breeding. They are considered a type of ornamental fish and not typically eaten, however, they can be consumed as a food fish in some cultures.
