Art For Maui
In the wake of the recent Maui fires, artists around the world began using their art to support Maui disaster relief organizations. Art for Maui is a way for artists to come together to participate in this effort. 100% of profits from print sales will benefit Maui disaster relief.
The mission of Art for Maui goes beyond fundraising. Artists have been inspired by the beauty, history, and culture of Maui for generations. It is our hope that, by collecting and sharing Maui-inspired art, we can help to honor and preserve the memory of what was lost.
How it Works
Any professional paintings or photographs that showcase the beauty of Maui. Images must be ready to print, relevant to Maui, and appropriate for all ages.
We have not set a formal deadline for submissions, and we will continue to add new art as it is submitted. We encourage artists to submit their work ASAP to maximize the fundraising potential of the Art for Maui collection.
In order to maximize the impact of each sale, artists will not receive any royalties for prints sold by Art for Maui.
Absolutely! The product page for each print will include a short bio about the artist and optional link to their website or social media.
Sure! We're happy to review and consider all submissions. Your images should be high quality and have commercial viability for sales.
Images must be ready to print (no screenshots, or photos of the art inside of a frame, etc.)
We will operate this fund raising campaign as long as artist and customer interest remain strong (at least thru 2023).
Funds raised will initially be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is part of the Hawai'i Community Foundation. The Maui Strong Fund is providing financial resources that can be deployed quickly, with a focus on rapid response and recovery. More funds may be added on a rotating basis.
We will use your images to make Open Edition canvas, paper and metal art prints ranging in size 8x10 to 18x24. We will orient your images to match the print sizes available, with minor cropping if needed (sorry we are not creating custom sized prints at this time).
All printing will be done in Hawaii with our sister company Chromaco, using archival materials and inks.
Retail pricing for all prints will be pre-set at fair market rates for Open Edition prints, based on our publishing experience. We are targeting reasonable (not premium) prices to encourage more sales.
We will print standard sizes for rectangle (5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20), square (12x12, 20x20) and panoramic (6x12, 12x24), depending on the media, and will do minor crops if needed.
Submitted files should be RGB mode and file formats JPG, PSD, or TIF. resolution ideal 300dpi at the largest size we'll print.
